FINLAND/NORWAY GRAND PRIX
 
FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS) recovered from a fairly average opening set of rides to scrape into the Semi Finals and then produce a pair of wins to take victory in the round and hold on to his overall lead at the halfway stage of the series.  He is now a single point ahead of GABRYS IRZYK (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) who finished 2nd in this round but actually ended the meeting as the highest scorer.  RUDI JURITZEN (MILTON KEYNES CATS) finished 3rd and LUKE TREADWELL (TEESSIDE TRANSPORTERS) completed the Grand Final lineup, ending with a tally that pushes him to 3rd on the overall leaderboard.
 
TIBOR NEMECEK (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) scored 13 points in reaching the Semi Finals and moves up a place overall, to 4th, with BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) also scoring well and he jumps from 9th to 6th on the leaderboard.  The other Semi Finalists were STEEN ERIKSEN (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) and ILA NIEMI (RYE RACERS), the latter coming in as a reserve for the injured Nikita Federenko.
 
Of the rest Hayden Wood, Maciej Tercjak and Liam Reay couldn't make the latter stages but hold on to overall spots in the top 8.  Marek Czaja started the day in joint 7th but a 3 point total here saw him fall to 9th and he will be hoping for a better return in the next round.  Wild Card Hannu Helinen took a tumble in his second ride but still impressed as he collected 7 points.
