POLISH GRAND PRIX
 
FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS) needed just 6 points to be confirmed as World Champion and made sure of taking the crown early in this one.  In the end he dipped out at the Semi Final stage but he had long done enough.  The round was won by HAYDEN WOOD (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) who found at the end that his 16 point total was enough to confirm a top 8 finish overall and place in the GP Series for next season.  TIBOR NEMECEK (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) finished 2nd here and also had reason to celebrate in the final analysis as he claimed 3rd in the series overall.  The other Grand Finalists here were MACIEJ TERCJAK (HULL ANGELS) and MAREK CZAJA (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) - Tercjak finished 4th overall but Czaja's 11 points in the round proved frustratingly short of what he needed to avoid the GP Challenge if he wants to return to the series next season.
 
STEEN ERIKSEN (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) was also a semi finalist with enough points at the end to see himself into the top 8 overall.  The same couldn't be said of the others to reach the latter stages of this meeting and BORIS DVOYNEV (WEDNESFIELD WANDERERS) and RUDI JURITZEN (MILTON KEYNES CATS) will now head to the GP Challenge.
 
Of the rest GABRYS IRZYK (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) had a disappointing round but end the series in 2nd overall and LIAM REAY (TILBURY DOCKERS) and BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) have both done enough earlier in the series to ensure they qualify automatically for next season's competition.  Wild Card JANUSZ PALA (ROME RAVENS) looked nervous early on but improved throughout to finish with a creditable 7 points overall here.
